The journey so far

The “Nashik Run” was initiated by the select set of corporate houses to help the needy and underprivileged and to promote the awareness of health and fitness in and around the city of Nashik.

There are various social service organizations engaged in a myriad of activities pertaining to the under privileged in and around Nashik. Their activities include shelter for the old and destitute, shelter for women, education and training for the mentally challenged, training for the blind, care for orphans, skill center for the less able etc.

Nashik Run was born out of a desire to serve the underpriviledged in and around Nashik & to spread the message of healthy living among the Nashikites. the main idea is to help those who want to help themselves. It involves funding of various long lasting & productive projects undertaken by NGOs and charitable organization in order to enable them to become fully independent.

About the Event

The Nashik run event organized in Nashik by the all corporate houses and the generated fund is distributed for the welfare of the Nashik. All the companies have obligations to the wider community and the good corporate citizenship extends further by developing the surroundings. The event is held pn second Sunday of January month every year at Mahatma Nagar ground, where thousand of citizens, young and old, run 4.5 kms with an aim to help the deprived sections of the society. There are two groups. One is children group and another is for adults. The distance for the children is 2.5kms Funds are collected through donations and sponserships from various corporate and participants who register for the run. Registered participated get one “Nashik Run” T-shirt. The amount collected is directed towards funding and promoting various important and deserving ssocial projects. The uniqueness of the Nashik Run organization is that not a single paisa is used on administrative cost.

The first Nashik Run was started on 11th January 2003, with the Synergizing efforts and resources of the corporate giants in and around Nashik for a single common social cause. The funds collected are directed towards funding & promoting various important and deserving social projects.

The road ahead – full of hope and confidence

Nashik Run Charitable Trust continues to work with marginalised communities, including farmers with small land holdings, landless and daily wage labourers, fishermen, weavers, socially backward ethnic groups and tribes. Nashik Run Charitable Trust also helps the urban poor and communities in difficult circumstances – street children, children engaged in labour, children with disabilities, children orphaned by HIV/AIDS and people affected by natural disaster.

10km compititive run will also be held this time. Runners will be provided with BIB with Timing Chip.

Terms and Conditions

1. Please choose the event category carefully, confirmed registrations are non-refundable, non-transferable and cannot be modified. 
2. Provide us with a secure email ID/mobile no that you can access regularly, since this will be our primary means of communication during the run up to the event.
3. Users of email services that offer filtering/blocking of messages from unknown email address should add this email id info@runindia.in to their address list.
4. We will be sending regular updates to the Mobile number you have provided in the registration form this should be not treated as spam and you shall not take any action against our bulk sms service provider.
5. Any notice sent to the email address registered with the organizers shall be deemed as received by the runners.
6. Please fill out only those fields that are necessary for mailing purposes. 
7. Do not provide redundant data in multiple fields (i.e., do not list the same data for city, province and country), as this will only complicate our ability to contact you, if necessary.
8. You are aware that running long distance running is an extreme sport and can be injurious to body and health. 
9. You take full responsibility for participating in the Nashik Run 2020 event and do not hold the organizing committee or any of it’s members or entities responsible for any injury or accident.
10. You shall consult your physician and undergo complete medical examination to assess your suitability to participate in the event.
11. You also assume all risks associated with participating in this event including, but not limited to, falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, including high heat or humidity, traffic and the condition of the road, arson or terrorist threats and all other risks associated with a public event.
12. You agree that Nashik Run 2020  shall not be liable for any loss, damage, illness or injury that might occur as a result of your participation in the event.
13. You agree to abide by the instructions provided by the organizers from time to time in the best interest of your health and event safety.
14. You also agree to stop running if instructed by the Race director or the medical staff or by the aid station volunteers.
15. You confirm that your name and media recordings taken during your participation may be used to publicize the event.
16. You may acknowledge and agree that your personal information can be stored and used by Nashik Run 2020  or any other company in connection with the organization, promotion and administration of the event and for the compilation of statistical information.
17. You confirm that, in the event of adverse weather conditions, major incidents or threats on the day, any of the force major or restriction by authority, the organizers reserve the right to stop/cancel/postpone the event. 
18. You understand that confirmed registrations and merchandise orders are non-refundable, non-transferable and cannot be modified. 
19. The organizers reserve the right to reject any application without providing reasons. Any amount collected from rejected applications alone will be refunded in full (excluding bank charges wherever applicable)
20. Runners are recommended to stay off the course beyond the cut-off time considering the safety and traffic regulations.
21. For any reason you cannot turn up on race day, no refund of any form will be given.
22. runINDIA is only a service provider and is not in any way responsible for the delivery of the event.
23. If this registration is being made on behalf of a minor, I confirm that I am the parent / guardian of the child and that he/She has my permission to take part in the event. 
24. I further concur that all the above rules shall apply to him/her as if he were a major.
25. Participants must personally appear for collecting the running Bibs. Bibs can be distributed in-absentee with written consent of the registered runners.
