Purchase Policy

Order, payment, refund and ticketing terms for purchases made through the RunIndia platform.

Effective from 1.7.26 Version 2026.1

Introduction and Scope

This Purchase Policy governs your order and purchase of any ticket, registration, entry or pass (each, a “Ticket”) for any sports, fitness or endurance event (each, an “Event”) through the website `www.runindia.in`, the mobile applications and related platforms (collectively, the “Platform”) operated by RUNINDIA NETWORKS PVT. LTD. (the “Company”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

This Purchase Policy forms part of, and must be read together with, the Company’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, and with the cancellation, refund, rescheduling and participation policy of the relevant Event Organiser as displayed on the Event listing (the “Organiser Policy”). In the event of a conflict between this Purchase Policy and the Terms of Service in relation to a purchase, the Terms of Service shall prevail except to the extent this Purchase Policy is more specific.

By placing an order or completing a purchase on the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to this Purchase Policy.

Who You Are Buying From

The Company operates the Platform as an intermediary and marketplace e-commerce entity. The Company is not the organiser, owner, host or seller of any Event. Each Event is organised and conducted by the relevant Event Organiser, who sets the Ticket prices, categories, inventory, availability and the terms of participation.

When you purchase a Ticket, the contract for the Ticket and for participation in the Event is entered into directly between you and the relevant Event Organiser. The Company acts only as a facilitator of the transaction and, in respect of payments, as a collecting agent of the Event Organiser.

Eligibility and Account

To place an order, you must be at least 18 years of age and competent to contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872. Where you purchase Tickets for, or register, a minor, you do so as the minor’s parent or lawful guardian and accept full responsibility for the minor’s participation.

Certain purchases require you to register and maintain an account and to provide accurate, current and complete information. You are responsible for the accuracy of the participant and billing information you provide and for all activity under your account.

Currency, Pricing and Taxes

All Ticket prices for Events held in India are stated in Indian Rupees (INR). Ticket prices are set by the relevant Event Organiser and may change from time to time; the price applicable to your purchase is the price displayed at the time you complete the transaction.

All applicable taxes, including Goods and Services Tax (GST), and all fees and charges, will be displayed on a clear and itemised basis before you confirm and pay for your order. You are responsible for all such taxes, fees and charges applicable to your purchase.

A tax invoice or receipt, as applicable, will be made available to you for your purchase. The Company does not engage in unfair trade practices, manipulate prices, or discriminate between consumers of the same class.

Convenience Fee and Other Charges

In addition to the Ticket price, the Company may charge a convenience fee, booking fee, platform fee, payment-gateway charge or similar charge for the services it provides (collectively, “Service Fees”). The applicable Service Fees will be displayed in the payment review section before you complete your purchase.

Service Fees are charged for the Company’s own services and, unless expressly stated otherwise or required under Applicable Law, are non-refundable, including where a Ticket price is subsequently refunded.

Where an offer or promotion is availed to book Tickets, a Service Fee may still apply.

Your explicit consent will be recorded for each purchase. The Company does not record consent through pre-ticked checkboxes or other default mechanisms.

Ticket Limits

To discourage unfair buying practices, the number of Tickets that may be purchased for an Event may be limited per customer, per account or per transaction (a “Ticket Limit”). The Ticket Limit, where applicable, is displayed during the purchase process and may be verified with each transaction. The Company may cancel orders that exceed a Ticket Limit or that, in the Company’s reasonable assessment, are placed in breach of this Purchase Policy or the Terms of Service, including through the use of automated means, multiple accounts or for the purpose of resale.

Order Process and Confirmation

After you submit your payment information, an order confirmation will be generated in the form of a confirmation page and/or an email or SMS containing a confirmation or booking number. A booking is confirmed only upon successful receipt of payment and generation of such confirmation.

If you do not receive a confirmation, or if you experience an error message or service interruption after submitting payment information, it is your responsibility to contact our customer care team to verify whether your order has been placed before attempting to place the order again, in order to avoid a duplicate booking. To the maximum extent permitted under Applicable Law, the Company will not be responsible for any loss arising from your assumption that an order was or was not placed where you failed to verify its status.

Please use only a single browser window or session when placing an order. Using multiple windows or sessions simultaneously may result in session or timer expiry or loss of a selected Ticket.

Payment Methods and Processing

The Platform accepts payment through the methods displayed at checkout, which may include credit cards, debit cards, net banking, the Unified Payments Interface (UPI), mobile wallets and other methods enabled from time to time. Availability of payment methods may vary.

Payments are processed through third-party payment aggregators and gateways. Your use of such services is subject to their terms. In accordance with applicable Reserve Bank of India directions, the Company and its payment partners do not store your complete card details except as permitted (for example, through tokenisation), and card data is handled in accordance with applicable security standards. The Company is not responsible for any act, omission, error or delay of a payment service provider, bank or card network.

Failed transactions and duplicate charges: If your account is debited but you do not receive a confirmation, or if you are charged more than once for the same booking, the amount in respect of a failed or duplicate transaction will be reversed in accordance with the Reserve Bank of India’s framework on Harmonisation of Turn Around Time (TAT) for failed transactions and the timelines prescribed thereunder. Such reversals are processed by the relevant banks and payment systems, and the Company is not liable for delays attributable to them. You may also raise the matter with our customer care team, who will assist in coordinating the resolution.

Billing Information Verification

Orders may be processed only after the billing details and other payment information provided have been verified. Where incorrect or incomplete billing or payment information is received, processing and delivery may be delayed. If verification cannot be completed within a reasonable time, the Company may cancel your order and refund any amount charged to the original payment method.

Delivery of Tickets

Tickets are ordinarily delivered electronically. Depending on the Event, delivery options may include an email confirmation, an SMS confirmation, and/or an electronic ticket or QR code made available on the Platform or in your account. Where required, the confirmation or e-ticket must be presented (in printed or electronic form) at the Event venue or registration counter to obtain entry or a physical bib, kit or ticket.

Where physical delivery of any item is offered for an Event, it will be made to the address you confirm on the Platform, and delivery timelines and charges (if any) will be as displayed. You are responsible for providing an accurate delivery address and contact details.

You are responsible for the safe-keeping of your confirmation, e-ticket or QR code. The Company is not responsible for any Ticket that is lost, stolen, deleted, forwarded, duplicated or made available to a third party by you, or for any unauthorised use of your confirmation or e-ticket. A Ticket may be invalidated if it is duplicated or presented more than once.

Customer Identification and Authentication

For certain Events, you may be required to produce valid photo identification, the payment instrument used for the purchase, the booking confirmation, or other authentication at the time of collecting a physical Ticket, bib or kit, or at entry. Where the person collecting is not the cardholder, the Event Organiser may require a copy of the payment instrument. Identification and authentication requirements are determined by the Event Organiser, and the Company is not responsible for any denial of entry or collection arising from your failure to satisfy them.

Refunds and Exchanges

Before completing your purchase, please carefully review all booking details, including the Event, date, category and participant information. Tickets are generally non-refundable and non-exchangeable once purchased, except as expressly provided in the Organiser Policy, in this Purchase Policy, or as required under Applicable Law.

No refund or exchange will be provided for any Ticket that is lost, stolen, damaged, destroyed, duplicated or used, or for any failure by you to attend or participate in an Event, except as provided in the Organiser Policy or required under Applicable Law.

Where the Organiser Policy permits cancellation by a User, any refund will be subject to the conditions and deductions stated in that policy, and Service Fees will not be refunded. The Company will not levy any cancellation charge on a consumer unless an equivalent charge is also borne by the Company in the case of a unilateral cancellation by the Company, consistent with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020.

Cancelled, Postponed or Rescheduled Events

Decisions to cancel, postpone, reschedule or materially alter an Event are made by the Event Organiser. Where an Event is cancelled, postponed, rescheduled or materially altered, the consequences for your Ticket, including eligibility for and the amount of any refund, are governed by the Organiser Policy and Applicable Law.

Where a refund of the Ticket price is due on account of a cancellation, postponement, rescheduling or material alteration by the Event Organiser, that refund is the responsibility of the Event Organiser. The Company will facilitate eligible refunds to the extent it has received, and is able to remit, the corresponding funds from or on behalf of the Event Organiser, ordinarily to the original payment method. The Company does not itself guarantee, underwrite or fund refunds for matters that are the responsibility of the Event Organiser, and Service Fees remain non-refundable except as required under Applicable Law.

Where an Event is rescheduled, the Event Organiser or venue may set conditions on refunds, including a requirement that valid Tickets be honoured for the rescheduled date. To request a refund where one is available, please contact our customer care team with your booking or account number to enable us to process an eligible refund.

Refund Method and Timelines

Eligible refunds, where due, will ordinarily be processed to the original payment method used for the purchase. Refunds will be processed within the timelines prescribed under Applicable Law or as otherwise communicated, and will then be subject to the further time taken by payment service providers, banks, card networks and the Event Organiser to credit the amount to you. The Company is not liable for delays attributable to such third parties. The Company will not be obliged to make a refund in cash or by any method other than to the original payment instrument, except where required under Applicable Law.

Chargebacks, Unauthorised Transactions and Fraud

If the Company reasonably suspects that an order is fraudulent, unauthorised, or in breach of this Purchase Policy or the Terms of Service, the Company may decline, cancel or hold the order, withhold delivery, cancel the Tickets, and report the matter to the relevant authorities and payment partners.

Where you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute that the Company determines to be invalid or in bad faith, the Company reserves the right to cancel the related Tickets and bookings, recover the disputed amount and any associated costs, and suspend or terminate your account, without prejudice to any other rights or remedies available under Applicable Law.

Transfer and Resale Restrictions

Unless expressly permitted by the Event Organiser and the Company, Tickets are personal to the named purchaser or participant and shall not be transferred, assigned, resold, offered for resale at any price, auctioned, or used for any commercial purpose, advertising, promotion, contest or sweepstakes. Tickets obtained, transferred or used in breach of this restriction may be cancelled or invalidated without refund, and the holder may be refused admission, in addition to any other remedy available to the Company or the Event Organiser.

Promotional Offers, Discount Codes and Gift Vouchers

From time to time, the Company or Event Organisers may make available promotional offers, discount codes, coupons, cashback or gift vouchers, subject to specific terms displayed with the offer. Such offers are valid only for the stated period and purpose, cannot be combined unless expressly stated, are non-transferable and non-encashable, and have no cash value unless required under Applicable Law.

The Company may modify, suspend, withdraw or cancel any offer, code or voucher at any time, and may cancel any booking or recover any benefit obtained through the misuse of, or any fraud, error or breach in connection with, an offer, code or voucher.

Event Rules, Admission and Conduct

Admission to and participation in an Event are subject to the rules of the Event Organiser and the venue, and to Applicable Law. A Ticket is a revocable licence to attend or participate in the Event, which may be withdrawn as permitted by the Organiser Policy and Applicable Law.

The Event Organiser or venue may refuse admission to, or remove, any person whose conduct is disorderly or unsafe, who uses abusive language, who is in breach of the Event or venue rules, or who fails to comply with instructions, in which case, to the extent permitted by the Organiser Policy and Applicable Law, no refund may be due. Certain items may be prohibited at a venue, including alcohol, illegal drugs, controlled substances, weapons, cameras or recording devices, laser pointers, and bundles or containers, as specified by the Event Organiser or venue.

You and your belongings may be subject to search on entry as a condition of admission, as required by the Event Organiser or venue. The Company is not responsible for the admission, conduct, search or removal decisions of any Event Organiser or venue.

Recording, Media and Likeness

Unless expressly permitted by the Event Organiser, you agree not to record, transmit or assist in recording or transmitting any description, account, image or reproduction of an Event for commercial purposes.

You acknowledge that an Event is a public event and that, by attending or participating, your image, likeness, voice, appearance and statements may be captured in photographs, audio or video recordings. You grant the Company and the Event Organiser a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide right to use such recordings and your name, image and likeness for the purposes of organising, operating, reporting, promoting and recording the Event and the Platform, in any medium, subject to Applicable Law and the Company’s Privacy Policy. This consent may be withdrawn to the extent provided under Applicable Law.

Limitation of Liability

The limitations and exclusions of liability, disclaimers, and indemnity set out in the Terms of Service apply to your purchases under this Purchase Policy and are incorporated by reference. Without limiting them, and to the maximum extent permitted under Applicable Law, the Company shall not be liable for: (a) the cancellation, postponement, rescheduling, alteration, quality, safety or conduct of any Event, or any commitment of an Event Organiser; (b) any refund that is the responsibility of an Event Organiser and for which the Company has not received the corresponding funds; (c) any lost, stolen, damaged, duplicated or counterfeit Ticket, or the failure of an Event Organiser or venue to honour a Ticket; (d) any delay, error or failure of a payment service provider, bank, card network or telecommunications or internet service; or (e) any loss arising from your failure to verify your order status or to provide accurate information. The Company’s aggregate liability in respect of a transaction shall not exceed the Service Fees actually received and retained by the Company from you for that transaction, as provided in the Terms of Service.

Customer Care and Grievance Redressal

If you need help regarding an order, payment, delivery, cancellation or refund, please contact our customer care team using the details below. We endeavour to respond within 2 working days.

Complaints that are not resolved by customer care may be escalated to the Company’s Grievance Officer, whose details are published in the Terms of Service and on the Platform. The Grievance Officer will acknowledge and dispose of complaints within the timelines prescribed under Applicable Law. For payment-related grievances that remain unresolved, you may also escalate to your bank or payment service provider.

Changes to This Purchase Policy

The Company may update this Purchase Policy from time to time by posting the revised version on the Platform with an updated “Last Updated” date. The version in effect at the time you place an order governs that order. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Purchase Policy.
